La Danse des Initiés

By the hidden paths of the philosopher's stone, from the myth of Osiris to CERN

The story of a quest, and like every quest, a road: from West to East, from darkness to light, as the old masters ordered the Great Work to be led. Beneath the French-Swiss border, two lead nuclei brush past each other at the speed of light: three protons separate lead from gold.

34 boulevard de Clichy

140 years in the life of a Pigalle building — residents, artists, lineages

A reconstruction, from the archives, of the life of a single address at the foot of Montmartre. On the ground floor, the Reichshoffen brasserie where Manet came to paint in 1878, then the macabre Cabaret du Néant, and the Ciné-Vox-Pigalle cinema that became the Scarlett. At the back of the courtyard, brick-and-glass artists' studios, and the legend of iron from the Eiffel Tower building site. A century and a half of Pigalle told from one carriage door.
